Castlebar councillor, Eugene McCormack, has launched ‘Sing With Me!’, a CD of children’s nursery rhyme classics, recorded by the children of Bilberries Community Playgroup.
The CD was recorded in conjunction with staff from Western Care Association who work with Mayo Early Intervention Service.
The launch was attended by parents, children and staff from Bilberries Playgroup, Islandeady, Western Care, committee members and local people.
The CD, Sing With Me!, is a fly on the wall recording of the children singing nursery classics during their regular music time. It is complemented by an adult led sing-along that aims to teach each song individually by encouraging children to listen first and then try to sing along themselves.
This is a very unique recording and the organising committee wish to specially thank all those that were involved in the design and production of the CD.
The CD costs €8 and would make an ideal Christmas stocking filler or special present for any young child.
The CDs are on sale throughout Mayo in local retail outlets and can be purchased directly from Bilberries Playgroup, Islandeady, 087-6026947 or Western Care Association, John Moore Rd, Castlebar.
