Ballina will be a winter wonderland this Christmas as it pulls out all the stops with a new Christmas Festival to make the town an exciting and enjoyable place to visit this coming festive season.
Ballina is noted worldwide for its famous Salmon Festival in July. And now this year the town is launching the Frosty Salmon Festival – a unique Christmas Celebration for all ages which is crammed with traditional and modern festive events.
The festival will run from the 7th to the 22nd of December 2013 and will boast a range of magical festive delights from the Moy ice rink, to Santa’s Grotto and the mistletoe market.
The Festival will be made up of an extensive range of free and ticketed events that will be a unique Christmas experience for all the family.
The Frosty Salmon Festival aims to bring the town back to its historic market town origins with a Mistletoe Market boasting a range of local traditional crafts and artisan foods and lots of carol singing.
Children will be a central theme of the festival with a special visit by good old St Nick himself to Ballina.
The festival is a local initiative from Ballina Chamber of Commerce and all its members to bring some Christmas spirit into the town over the festive period.
