The Moy Singers’ annual Carols by Candlelight concert takes place in Hotel Ballina on Sunday, 15th December.
The choir will be joined by special guests – the Kilmoremoy Parish Childrens Choir and the Garvey Brothers – and the event is in aid of Western Alzheimers.
Everyone has their own very personal Christmas favourites, and the Moy Singers have, yet again, chosen a wonderful musical reportoire that will entertain all generations.
Under their new musical director Kathy Fahey, the choir present a wonderful mix of seasonal music -from the modern David Bowie to Bing Crosby, Aled Jones to the classical Pachelbal’s Canon with it’s moving and unique Christmas twist.
Combine that with all the Christmas standards from “Drummer Boy” to the touching “Oh Holy Night”, everyone will certainly be “Walking in the Air” with the musical talent assembled for a delightful night of Christmas Choral entertainment.
The true spirit of Christmas means nothing without children and the Moy Singers are delighted to include, as guests, the wonderful voices of the 50 strong Kilmoremoy Parish Children’s Choir and also the incredibly talented and harmonious Garvey and Garvey from Castlebar..
