Network Mayo and Network Ireland National Executive members, Olwen Dawe and Una Murphy, attended the Irish Presidency 2013 conference on gender equality, which took place in Dublin Castle on the 29th and 30th of April.
They joined delegates at the EU 2013 conference from around Europe across a range of disciplines both public and private sector.
The conference, entitled “Women’s Economic Engagement and the Europe 2020 Agenda” featured speakers from the European Commission, enterprise, equality and justice representative authorities as well as private companies.
A focused, solutions-driven theme carried through the conference, which sought to highlight the opportunities available to all European countries to truly harness the economic contribution of women.
