Swinford supermarket manager, Anne Reynolds, has been named as News Department Manager of the Year 2013, by the independent trade magazine, Shelflife, as part of the GRAM awards.
Anne, who is EUROSPAR Swinford manager, was recognised amongst a number of retail managers across the country, as being a standout leader in the Irish retail grocery industry.
The Grocery Retail Awards in Management (GRAMs), now in its eighth year, is the first and only national management award scheme exclusively devoted to recognising the best managers in the Irish retail, wholesale and off-licence sectors.
Commenting on the announcement, EUROSPAR Swinford manager, Anne Reynolds said: “I am delighted to have been recognised as a leader in my category. Most of my career has been spent in retail and it’s an honour to be recognised for my contribution.
“Of course, it’s not just a personal achievement, it’s an achievement for the store and the customers who support our business.”

Originally from Swinford, Anne has a retail career spanning 19 years having worked at the store consecutively over this time. As well as being expert in Newsagency,
Anne also has experience of other in-store departments such as the Deli, giving her an all-around understanding of the business.
EUROSPAR Swinford opened its Newsagency department four years ago. The supermarket has a dedicated stand for Irish published and Irish interest publications and there is also a ‘just ask’ policy for customers whereby the store will order in titles not already on display.
EUROSPAR Swinford opened its doors in 2004. The supermarket is open Monday to Wednesday, 8 am – 7.30pm, Thursday to Saturday, 8 am – 8.30pm and Sunday and bank holidays, 10 am – 6 pm.
