An Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD has launched the new Erris Beo iPhone app which is packed with tourist information for the Barony of Erris. The Erris Tourism app was launched at a ceremony in Lough Lannagh, Castlebar.
The app is free to download for iPhones and provides tourists with all the necessary information on accommodation, attractions, restaurants, shops, golf, fishing, walking, cycling, festivals, island trips, water sports, arts and cultural amenities in Erris.
Rina Garrett of Erris Beo said, “At Erris Beo, we know that apps are the future of the travel and tourism industry. We have been working on this for the last nine months and we are delighted that An Taoiseach Enda Kenny is launching it with us.
“It is through this app that we will be able to get a thorough understanding of our market and, in doing so, we can tailor our tourism experiences and our services – thereby serving the right product to the right customer at the right time and at the right price. In other words, we will be in a better position to attract more visitors and tourists to our area.”
So, whether you are a tourist or a local, you’ll love the new Erris Beo app, which gives you up-to-date info on what to do, where to stay and more, no matter where you are in the barony.
Furthermore, the app was developed by Blacksod-based graphic designer Cillian Ó Mongáin, so you can be sure of a high quality, visually appealing app. Android-users will be able to download it in a few months.
