Westport restaurant, Sol Rio, is celebrating after winning the 2013 Kids Size Me award for the Connaught region at this year’s prestigious Restaurants Association of Ireland (RAI) Irish Restaurant Awards.
Kids Size Me is a joint initiative from the Nutrition and Health Foundation and the Restaurants Association of Ireland (RAI) to enhance the range and portion size of nutritious meals available children.
The award recognises restaurants that ensure children have access to healthier food options when dining out by making child-size portions of adult meals available as an alternative to ordering from the standard children’s menu.
Sol Rio is the first restaurant in Mayo to win the award since the initiative was introduced
